Morgan Nichols 1740-1817

Nichols was a surgeon, apothecary, and man-midwife working in Bath in the late Georgian period

He was an honorary surgeon to the Bath General Hospital between 1794 and 1817. He patented a portable oven in 1800

He served on the City Council from 1784 and was Mayor in 1815

Nichols attended Lord Nelson when he was visiting the spa for treatment
